Responsibilities
As Director of Decarbonization, Dallas Terry manages SIG’s Decarbonization Department including revenue streams such as energy modeling, embodied carbon assessments, daylight modeling, decarbonization studies, and more. He is responsible for performing market research, building partnerships, developing new revenue streams, and implementing training protocols to improve the Decarbonization Department’s processes. Additionally, Dallas has a leading role in optimizing SIG’s cross-department project management process.

Education
Dallas has a BS in Environmental Science and an MBA from Maharishi International University (MIU) in Fairfield, IA, and an MFA in Creative Writing from Naropa University in Boulder, CO. He also has the following certifications:

  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
  • LEED AP Building Design & Construction (BD+C)

Experience
With a background that spans advising and managing client sustainability programs to executing various technical energy studies, Dallas brings a unique skillset to SIG’s work. This provides him with a strategic perspective on the connection between green building projects and overarching client ESG goals and objectives. Dallas also has expertise in renewable energy project consulting and feasibility analysis of various renewable projects.

Interests
Dallas has a passion for learning and continuous improvement and a deep interest in reading and writing on topics around sustainability as well as creative writing. He also speaks Spanish and French.

Other personal interests include soccer, guitar, traveling, and cooking.
